Please find below the main pointers to the updated version of the "SCHC-Lo" draft, that is, draft-ietf-6lo-schc-15dot4-11. This last revision aims to address the comments that we received in IETF 123 (Madrid). The main updates include: - Section 3.1: clarification of the different SCHC Strata that may be used, for both the main protocol stack and the transition protocol stack, considering different approaches for securing CoAP. This includes illustrating the scenarios and corresponding protocol stacks when a 6LN communicates with an external endpoint. - Section 5.2: added the formats for SCHC-based compression of UDP and CoAP (including use of OSCORE), based on separate SCHC Strata. This includes the corresponding SCHC Stratum Header formats. There are also a few minor clarifications added as well elsewhere in the draft. Comments are welcome! One of the SCHC components is a header compression mechanism. If used properly, SCHC header compression allows a greater compression ratio than that achievable with traditional 6LoWPAN header compression [RFC6282]. This document specifies how a SCHC-compressed packet can be carried over IEEE 802.15.4 networks.
