This all sounds good and I'd be happy to help where I can.
3rd weekend works good to maybe I'll drag my little brother
along.
As far as 2.6 kernels go I'm running them on a couple
systems and all with udev so I can give some results/walk
through help.
I've also got xorg's X11 running, not sure how much help I
can be on that side since I just did the ebuild...
Couple things come to mind:
1) Kernel compiles
2.6
- netfilter
- udev
- alsa vs oss
- bluetooth
- SATA (? trials and tribulations)
2.4
- netfilter
- oss vs alsa
- bluetooth
2) Hotplug
PCMCIA
USB
Firewire - gotcha's / reliability / stability etc
etc

Subject: Re: [909linux] Do we have a quorum this month?
Hello,
The 3rd sunday each month sounds fine. However, this 20th is my wife's
birthday, and since I don't want to sleep on the couch, I may not make
it that day. Sorry I missed the last meeting, my son was born -- and
yes, I already bought a linux t-shirt for him from thinkgeek.com.
A tutorial on kernel compilation sounds good. Of course, I probably sit
in on it since mine are usually hit or miss. Would we build a 2.4 or 2.6
kernel?
