Hi All,
Spent yesterday at the ODF workshop and met Randall from our group.
I'm not sure I had met you before Randall but twas good to met you
yesterday. If any of you are coming out let me know I'll be around
all weekend.
Couple things of note, Peter Quinn's keynote the slides are up
already at the link below. It was really good and I hear they are
putting up a MP3 of the workshop yesterday so I recommend listening

Overall the workshop was good, there just seems to be very little
implementation or code for ODF so it felt more of a "we want this to
happen" then "you can do this now" type event. Which was perfectly
fine, though there are things you can do right now with ODF.
Interestingly, I met Hans Reiser and John Terpstra last night as well
as a computer world reporter who was desperately trying to get
information out of John that she could use for a article. Spent a lot
of time with them and another local guy talking about everything
under the sun.
I'm hoping you all recognize who Hans Reiser is, if not check out the
reiser file system. Oh and if the name John Terpstra doesn't ring
familiar I can only say "http://us5.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-
Guide/". William you'll be happy to know I only berated him a little
for not coming out with that book when we needed it at LSU.
Anyways off to registration and food
