I just went in and cleaned out about 40 pieces of spam that the mailman software caught. I used to have to do this once in a blue moon, and now it seems like every month there's that many in there.
The messages don't get delivered to the list unless you are a subscriber to the list. As of yet, no spammer has subscribed to this list in order to deliver spam, and I would unsubscribe them immediately if they did. When I went in there today, I noticed that there were a number of messages from people that were subscribers but sent something from their "other" address, gmail/hotmail, whatever... I sent those on through, so if you see a couple of older messages today, that's why they were late... If you want to be able to send to the list from a number of different addresses, I think you can subscribe multiple times, but only have one address marked for delivery, so you'd just get one copy of each message.
