Hey Jeff,

First d/l the Windows driver .inf file from a known good source
e.g. www.linksys.com/download/
(or get from cd)

then install ndiswrapper
http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/mediawiki/index.php/InstallDebian

then point ndiswrapper to your known good Win32 driver
e.g. ndiswrapper -i /cdrom/"driver file"

and then config your i[w/f]config stuff

e.g.
iwconfig wlan0 essid "yourSSID"
ifconfig wlan0 x.x.x.x
route add default gw x.x.x.x
etc
etc

I did this about 2 years ago, but I don't remember all the details then, as I just quickly followed some online HOWTO recipe without really knowing what I was doing.

Hi guys,

It's made by Linksys, and it's a WPC11 version 4.

I found various bits of advice online, mostly involving a driver called rtl8180 but so far no dice.

Thanks for taking a look.

Jeff

Hey Jeff,

Shoot us over your 802.11 card make and model, and one of us will help figure a way to kludge it.

If you join 909linux.org and ask your question, someone there should be able to answer it also.
