diskwarrior http://www.allsoft.com/DiskWarrior/ is a very good drive
fix it product for the mac, but I haven't used it in over 5 years.
So I can't speak to its current state.

Yeah, I've seen that one (and actually have a copy of it for Windows)
I'm googling for Mac-friendly versions and see that pre OS X versions
are different than post OS X.
