Well, to follow up, I'd just ask whomever is coordinating this training what the desired end result is. Do they want their users to be familiar with terminology and procedure for support reasons, do they want hands on training for business level support/use/administration, or are they just a bunch of geeks who want to get ahead? Once you can quantify your expectations from the training, it will be much easier to find the right instructor.
We have a system that was designed by one of our other offices. Need has arisen to have the some QA testing done in our Temecula office. The core of the system is a Linux server. Various people will need to know something about Linux to set it up and troubleshoot issues and report that back to the developers and etc. More or less this is just going to be a CLI class. As much that can be crammed into a few days. I'm guessing that day one will be going over basic commands much of the remaining will be how do I's that will be come their own lessons. I guess the possibility will arise for more training once the product comes out of BETA and other departments will need to be trained on it. However I have no decision make abilities on this. I was simply asked to gather up some local resources so that Management can see the options.

QA Testers, Programmers, Designers, System Engineers (PhD's), and possibly some from the Support(MCSEs) side as well. Their hoping for sometime in June at this point. _______________________________________________ 909linux mailing list [email protected] http://909linux.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/909linux
