Easy, I never put it in wmv in the first place.

I actually buy my music from iTunes. However I almost immediately burn
the album to a CD (go figure) to put in my car. I also then import the
CD back into iTunes on the same iMac. I could import it elsewhere but
i would have to manually create the track names and all ID3 stuff,
something about how iTunes burns it. MusicBrainz can't tell who it is.
Now on my iMac I have two copies of the song. The original AAC
protected blah blah file and an mp3. The mp3 then gets moved to my
dedicated file server for long term storage/use. This way my wife,
kids and I all have access to the songs. I 'm not sure if there is a
quality difference but I have never noticed it.

... it works for me.

Rusty just sent me an WMA file, but I want it in MP3 format.

Once I finish downloading, I'll probably use Audacity to convert it.
