Interesting article. Hope it's at least partially accurate in predicting a trend. But it seems more like a rant than any kind of responsible journalism. The author is obviously anti-microsoft (which is great, but tends to erode his authority as a journalist).
I found the information on MS's china pricing policy particularly interesting though. :) On a side note, my girlfriend just bought a super slick tiny/slim Sony VAIO and brought it with her from Japan. It came with Vista installed (it's a Celeron of some sort). The thing takes about five minutes to boot up and shut down and the HDD light is ALWAYS running. No joke. I told her to put XP on it and it would probably scream. <sigh> Still pretty cool, the battery lasts like 8 hours even with all the HDD activity.
