I have been using afraid.org for free DNS for years now and I have always
been happy with what it has had to offer. That was until dd-wrt came out
and I was not able to sink the router with the dd-wrt server to update my ip
address for me. Since then I have switch to zoneedit.com for my home
address domainnames and have found that it is extremely easy.

Zoneedit.com is free for the 1st 5 domain names, ea. name getting 200mb of
space, which I will not be using. One must simply:
1) set up an account on the site and point the Domain name to the give NS
address.
2) Log in into your dd-wrt router, select the Setup tab then the DDNS tab,
select zoneedit.com in the drop down menu
3) add your log in info, and the host www.yourdomain.com
4) save and your done. It sinks the IP immediately.

I am not sure what I was doing wrong with afraid.org but this has been a
great solution for DDNS at home.
