Hallo Nino! I am also a beginner to the system, and I have just recently started to use the system by logging in from a remote system. Here is what I have done so far.
I have done a normal Plan9 installation, on which I can log in as any user. I have two users, 'glenda' with adm rights, and my own user 'jam' that I have added as you describe. If I log on directly on this machine, I am asked of no password. But instead of logging on to the machine directly, I connect to it using drawterm.
