Have you tried gcc 4.6? This includes Ian Lance-Taylor's changes which makes gcc willing to accept kencc lovelyness. This could/should/may mean that some/many/all of the ed scripts become irrelevant. This should help p9p and drawterm as 4.6 becomes more widely used. I have not had time to try this myself yet but hope to soon (ymmv) -Steve
