Because I'm a Plan 9 fan? I use Ubuntu only because of limitations in Plan 9. Unfortunately, most of these limitations are going to be with us for a long time, but I still choose to use Plan 9 whenever possible. I don't think you really want to know the details of my situation. I believe that Go will make it a lot easier to add missing functionality to Plan 9, hence my focus. Running Go applications in Ubuntu where existing versions already exist (consider Firefox as an example) doesn't enhance Plan 9 in any way. ++L
