I used these options in case others are having issues: nohup /usr/local/bin/qemu-system-x86_64 -hda /data/kvm/plan9.img - cdrom /data/downloads/plan9.iso -m 1024 -net nic,macaddr=00:25:4b:a0:1e:cc -fup -enable-kvm -vnc :0 -enable-kvm - boot d -k sv -no-kvm-irqchip
This was to use the Swedish keyboard with qemu as well.
