no. though i doubt there would be a 10x reduction in performance. one could reasonablly get 10mb/s with pio. (if it working.) that's probablly about as much as could be expected with the seekiness of the original install. as long as one isn't installing to something really huge that needs preformatting, even 1mb/s should take no more than 500s (5 min). - erik
