thanks for trying. you can change boot vars from the keyboard.
e.g. (type everything but the tab)
a *nomp=0
a *nousbehci=
unfortunately that first one doesn't work, since mp isn't built
into that kernel.
a few questions:
- what kind of machine is it?
- do you happen to have a screenshot? also,
- does this machine have a ps2 keyboard or serial? if so, does it respond
to keys or ^T^T sequences?
normally the easiest way to debug this is to pxe boot with
various printing junk in the kernel till you've found it.
