I have used the trendnet tu2-et100 with rmiller's image on a model A. I seem to remember that device name bounces around on a model b, depending on the port it is plugged into. I stopped using the pi for plan9 before 9front added the stable-name-for-usb code, so I can't speak to how it would act today.
