A few things here from my side, issues I've run into and solutions/ideas: - Running Plan 9 (say, 9front) on a laptop with a touchpad leads to frustration. A two-finger-tap won't work to spawn the menu. It'd immediately select creating a new window, and one cannot draw it. I have a solution in mind that uses a three-finger-tap and three-finger-drawing instead to spawn a new window. I lack the knowledge to implement that though. - Given the QEMU image, one might want to use it as a cpu server, and connect via drawterm. That currently requires extra configuration that takes a long time to find out and understand. - Compiling the 9front drawterm for Wayland needs the wlr-protocols repo, https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/wlroots/wlr-protocols - which is not available as a package on some distros, e.g., current Pop!_OS, which is based on Ubuntu. Manually cloning that repo and adjusting the build scripts is a workaround for the time being, but hard to figure out without much experience.
