Pretty much all the issues you listed should be already fixed as well.
I tried the repository version and the virtio-9p version just rocks. Its faster
than 9vx during compilation. During startup genrandom delivers 100% cpu load
for some seconds afterwards it has minimal cpu demands.
You removed "CONF=k10" I added the version from Russ, patched and tried it too
and it works. Its smaller so I prefer this version.
I had to change your qemu script

base=${base} ; else base=${base}f; fi ; fi
The only drawback for the virtio-9p version is the installation of a default
kbmap. This can be achieved by adding the kbmap in the boot section of k10xxx
configurations and appending the boot parameters in your qemu script.
Thank you for your work. This new version really rocks and is a real
alternative to using 9vx because 9vx was missing some devices like segment for
which I had to use workarounds. This also solves timing problems of locks,
qlocks and pipes which 9vx also had. But nonetheless I liked using 9vx
especially for compiling userland and kernels while using my default dev-
environment. I prefer fossil-scm over git (cvs).
