maybe i'm just thick headed, and possibly it's my fault for starting this whole thing. but i'd like to know why we're talking about sockets here?
the question i had was whether or not Plan 9 already has something similar to VJ's ideas or if maybe we should look at the stack and think about whether or not it makes sense to implement these ideas. i think my question was answered: yes, it couldn't hurt to have a look under the hood to see if it makes sense. do we really have to keep discussing sockets? it's a terrible interface.
