Hi,

I got myself a contrib directory on sources (thank you, Russ) and put
a version of nntpfs that translates the articles to utf8 in
/n/sources/contrib/r.raschke/utf8nntpfs.tgz .

I ripped off a lot of code from upas/fs and inserted it into nntpfs.
This is not really the optimal way of dealing with the problem, but it
was the quickest. A more structured presentation a la upas/fs would
probably be nicer. But, it does the job for me at the moment. I am
sure that there are bugs lurking in that, but so far I have been using
it successfully for about two weeks.

I have also put my version of the acme News reader (with simple
threading, kill files, and remembering the last message you read) in
that directory.
