i'm not sure il's completely moot. has anybody done any tcp vs il performance measurements on gigabit or 10 gigibit networks, including cpu usage?
the fact that it doesn't route well over the internet shouldn't be too much of a bother most of the time. my only problem is that of all the protocols that linux choose to implement, il wasn't one of them. ;-) - erik
