Well, whereas I can agree with you that publication could be beneficial, you have to grant that no one should be told when and where to publish. It's a simple privacy issue and there are definitely two opposing points of view involved. Don't believe the rationalisations, consider instead the individual objectives. Who are the real contributors and who are the limelight seekers? Plan 9 seems to be resisting a swing from elitism to communism. Who will gain the most from the swing when the reality check shows that it has been from a meritocracy to mediocrity? ++L
