i have been able to test with this with an amd sb600-based system. the bar alignment seems consistent with what i see on my system. i don't see this problem, but my system does hang if *nomp=1 is set. i can't boot the livecd due to the fact that it assumes sdD0. as i have a sata cdrom on sdE0, this won't work. - erik
