I think my disk issues might be heat related. I tested the old venti and it failed with an i/o error as well. After I start getting failures, the dd commands fail as well, in fact any disk access fails. The common factor is that failures appear roughly after 30 minutes.
I will provide better airflow to the disk and see what happens then. Robby
