I looked in the control panel/hardware manager thinking it would tell me. I have a
Sony VAIO, over a year old. Couldn't tell you about the motherboard.

What kind of motherboard do you have and what kind of computer? If you
have your motherboard manual handy.....that will tell you too.Most newer
computers will have 2.0 usb ports.
