Better late than never... This turning right off problem sounds like a hardware issue. Check the fans in the system that they are operating and not full of hair and dust. Check any fan on the Video Card as well! It's also possible that the power supply is going. Power supplies ususally last about 30 to 36 months. These issues can also prevent the computer from starting up correctly.
