Microsoft Tests Blocking Of Bogus Windows

As part of its continued campaign to quash software counterfeiters, 
Microsoft has quietly debuted a mechanism that can block pirated 
copies of Windows from downloading fixes, patches, and software from 
the Redmond, Wash.-based developer's Download Center Web site.
