Dont think its bad advice necessarily because we are all capable of misunderstanding the advice that is given which is why I sought to clarify it here. What I want to know is why, is it prudent to download a Microsoft patch to desktop, and scan it before instlaling it. Why not just instal it via Windows Update and be done with it. I shall be like the virtual doormouse and go back to sleep until after the festive season.
