Hi, Gang Lets not forget that ME and 98 security is somewhat non-existent. The whole idea behind such programs as anti-spyware, A/V, etc is security/protection. Even when you use such programs with 98/ME your protection is minimal.
When connected to the internet you are really wide open to a hacker. Now, the plus side to this is that most of today's hackers are focused on Windows 2000/XP/Server machines and subjugating thier sloppy security to the whims of hackers. Anyway, ....
