My instructions are for a desktop. Laptops use "PC Cards" and not PCI cards. You need to buy a wireless "PC Card" for your laptop and not a USB version. Exchange the device for the correct type. Do not attempt to open or service your laptop. Only qualified service people should attempt repairs on laptops.
