This drive must have been previously partitioned with either MS-DOS or Windows 95a. You must use a verion of FDISK that is from Windows 98 (or 95b+) that is aware of partiton sizes larger than 2.0 GB. 1) Boot from your Windows 98 setup disc. 2) Select "Command prompt" option. 3) Run "fdisk" 4) Delete the primary and extended partiton, including all logical drives. (All data will be deleted) 5) Create a new primary partition and assign all the drive space to it. 6) Reboot 7) Run format again for create a new FAT32 formatted partition.
