I was playing around with the jumpers on my motherboard (as I do!) and
inadvertantly reset the bios. On power up I had to re-register my copy
of XP Home!! Online reg would not work so I had to use the lengthy
phone option.
Does this mean that the XP registration data is held on the bios chip
and under what circumstances, other than a reset, would it be deleted?
