Your ISP and IP address will always be known on the internet.
The internet doesn't work without attaching the sender's IP address to
each packet sent on the network.

As for ZoneAlarm, if you want to accept incoming connections with mIRC
you need to open the IRC port (194 TCP/UDP) in Zonealarm.  If you just
want to use mIRC normally, simply add MIRC.EXE to the allowed programs
list in ZoneAlarm.  You don't need to configure mIRC, that setting is
used for systems that require logons to access the network or proxy,
or when you need to use passive connections, or use alternate ports
for incoming transfers.
