I got two things that can blow that spam story out the water....
#1: Back in like kinda late 90's, my grandma wanted to get back online. So after doing some research, I figured getting her Compuserve would be suffient (She hated Aol, but wanted ease) By the time I got her set up I noticed she had mail. Thinking it would just be one of those notice letters, I opened her mailbox. There were about 10 messages. She clicked on one and it had this picture of a girl and lets just say her face had some extra whiteness on it... #2: I got a mediacom email address w/their cable service. I had my two main email services (1 professional and 1 for friends) but since my mediacom one was just my name...I decided I would start using it. I opened it up in outlook and thankfully I had some antivirus protection that also protected email.... There was at least 10 messages that either the Sesser worm or that MyDoom. It was all pure porn mail, w/viagra and russian brides included. I called mediacom and told them about my comptuer being potentially taken over and all they could say is someone probably got a hold of my email address online somehow (....) or someone was just taking wild guesses and found one that's active So yea, if anyone can beat those stories, then I'll be shocked --- In [email protected], "John Cheek" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > First of all, he did give you a line of crap.
