Hi Cindy, I have an old Dell Laptop. It is a 486DX2- 100 mhz with 32 megs of ram and an 850 meg Hard drive. I didn't upgrade to Win98, I did a full new install. It went fine and works fine. It's not the size of the HDD that counts, it is the ram. (you gotta have enough HHD space to hold Win98 and you do) 32 megs of ram is the minimum for Win98 and it will not be real fast but it works just fine. I actually put 98SE on mine.

It didn't run bad. But a 1.5 drive is really small. My guess would be that it would work but would be slow.
