Could this just be bad memory, or motherboard or????

It's an IBM r50 laptop. WIN XP SP 2. I get memory dump error (It
refers to this file: "ati3duag.dll") BUT only when on battery power.
I tried a brand new battery and still get the memory dump error. It
is displayed on the blue screen of death. Then the laptop just keeps
rebooting. What could it be?

BTW- after the PC boots up(which it only can do on AC power) I get
a window pop up with an error to send to MS.
This is the tech info about the error:
C:\doc.Temp\WERca9adir00\mini032505-09.dmp
C:\doc.Temp\WERca9adir00\sysdata.xml
