It's a DVD reader so I use WinDVD , Power DVD , Nvidia player .
And downloaded all codecs
But the drive cant even see the DVDs , what got that to to do with
software
I formatted before and downloaded Power DVD and still DVDs worked
without any special or extra software

What software are you using? With some programs, such
as EZ CD/DVD Creator you cannot use a formatted disk.
The formatting is done as you burn.
