Yes, I have one, its quite new, January 2005.   You ought to check that none of 
the pins in the connection are not damaged, as I was advised, but that wasnt 
the answer for mine.  I've lived with it, but it is annoying.   I have a Dell 
Intellimouse - I used to have a Microsoft Intellimouse - the sort with the 
light underneath and in the tail.  My techie wondered if it might be a sort of 
static with the mouse mat.
