THUMBS.DB is a System file used to cache the "Thumbnails View" images.
There other files present that help make folder layouts and
customized designs.
To stop showing these files:
Open "My Computer".
Go to Tools > Folder Options > [View] > Select: (O) Do not show hidden
files and folders > and also check [X] Hide protected operating system
files > {OK}.
