Well, you have me beat in computers and age. I am 66. I did the same thing. gave my kids then my grandkilldad installed windows 95 in. It ran so slow that his mom bought him his first computer. He graduated up the line as I did and finally bought an IBook last fall. He is the one who talked me into mine. As a matter of fact, I am posting this from a Comfort Inn in Pennsylvania. We left Mass. this morning and took our daughter to the airport and continued on by car. We will get back on the road tomorrow morning to arrive at Notre Dame in the afternoon. My grandson is graduating on Sunday and we will load his stuff in our Jeep and drive back. My son in law and granddaughter wil fly out tomorrow. We will all meet at the Grotto tomorrow night. Eight in One was a Wordprocessing program that did have a data base of sorts and an accounting program. WordPerfect came later. I loved Wordperfect and used up to 6.1. They are making a comebackk and I am going to order it for the mac. Arianne
