We should take out caching as a variable in this comparison.
You need to clear the cache ("Temporary Internet Files") in both
browsers to make a fair comparison: if IE already has the page in
cache and Mozilla/Firefox doesn't it will take longer in Mozilla to
download the page first.Mozilla/Firefox does have a faster rendering engine than IE, I'd say this is a well known fact, so it should in theory load almost every page faster. There are some speed setting tweaks you can make to Mozilla provided your PC is fast enough and your connection is fast enough. http://www.tweakfactor.com/articles/tweaks/firefoxtweak/4.html [NOTE: Some of the settings that say require changing the prefs.js file can be easily changed by typing "about:config" in the address bar in Mozilla/Firefox] You also made 2 other postings saying your PC is slow in gerneral. This may be affecting your browser loading times if there is another problem affecting the performance of your entire system. If you find your system doesn't load the Mozilla Suite fast enough, try using Mozilla Firefox instead as it is just the browser product.
