I hate to say this but I have heard some people not recognising the screen
saver blank screen thinking the computer had died.
Do you have Dell support on the computer still or has that expired. Even so,
you ought to be able to call them for some guidance. Yes, I know they have
accents that are not easily interpreted, but that does apply to a lot of us
that don't work for Dell, if you know what I mean. Some of them, I have found,
are very knowledgeable. You really do need someone who understands Dell
computers and that is only Dell trained technicians. I do know that their
training is quite thorough. Is there really no Dell technician in your area?
