Since the Kernel of Windows XP Home an Pro are the same code,.. it will have the same stability. No questions. Stability is a function of the kernel when comparing different OSes.
It's possible that Home users have cheaper, lower quality equipment (because it's retail level and not enterprise class hardware), than Pro users. (corporate class equipment always has Pro installed) In addition, likely Pro edition users take better care of their PC maintenance or is part of a company that maintains it for them.
