Hi Donna As far as I am aware with W98se, the rundll32.exe file should be located in the C:\WINDOWS\ folder and not the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM folder. Is the rundll.exe file in your C:\WINDOWS\ folder? It could have been removed by a Trojan (CWS), or it may be damaged and need to be replaced
Have you tried extracting a new copy of rundll32.exe to the C:\Windows folder, which is where it should be located? Re your second question, installing XP over W98se should be quite easy if you have an XP cd. You will however need plenty of free space on your hard drive and sufficient ram. I upgraded a pc from ME to XP home, which only had 64mb ram so it was very slooooooow :-( You reallyl need at least 256mb ram to run XP successfully.
