You need a router to connect both your pcs and the router would be connected 
to your modem..now if they are in separate rooms you may have to go 
wireless, but if they are close to each other (my 4 systems are all lined up 
in a row hooked into a Belkin OmniPort and into a 4 port NetGear 
router)..this way I only need one monitor for all 4..--Phyllis
