To start you need a DVD-ROM or DVD-RW drive to read DVD discs.

You may use either: Power DVD or Win DVD.  These are some examples of
the most popular software decoders for DVD movies.  Once installed
most media players will have DVD-Video reading capability.

Note: you need at least a Pentium II - 350 or 400 to run the DVD
playback software.
