If this is an older program it may have installed a filter driver which is not compatible with Windows XP.
The crashing may be a video driver issue. Make sure the program is comaptible with Windows XP and/or upgrade your Video Drivers. You may also want to try Compatibility modes for that program. If you have any details about the program itself you can give such as age or purpose that would help since I don't think anyone on here knows what "Poser" is. I making the assumption that it's a game? I don't need the details of your hardware in this case, just the Windows version and program info. (which I'm assusing is XP). Please, in the future, just keep the posting down to the minimum information i.e. the exact problem and error message, Windows version, and the software involved or any related background or history. You may post multiple questions in one posting or many. But, for example your Question 1 and 2 are related and should definately be posted together to keep them in context.
