Generally if the power cord fits it should work. Does the cord have a converter box or does it go directly to the scanner. If the latter that cord is only carrying 120 AC to the scanner. If there is a converter box, we used to call them bricks, and the connector coming from the brick fits, it should be OK, at least for the voltage. Check the brand name on the brick. It may match the brand of the scanner. Some power converters are have a different brand name from the device that they provide power for. The on caveat is the current capability of the brick. These converters come with many connectors, I don't know whether they are different according to current capacity or just voltage. I assume that you have tried your power cord and it doesn't work. If this is just a power cord, no converter and it doesn't work, there are two possibilities, the cord is bad or the scanner has failed. There are several types of AC cord, generally if it can be plugged into the device without force it is the correct one. So see above about which may be bad. If you have access to a voltmeter or even a neon electrical voltage indicator. If so plug the power cable into the AC outlet and use the meter or indicator to see if there is voltage at the end that plugs into the device. If not, obviously the cord is defective.
