Hi: I have a Watt meter and whereas my Laptop uses about 35 watt/hours when idling, I cannot get a readable number when it is in standby. The amount is too small.
If I assume that it is using about one watt/hour when in standby, it means that after 1000 watt/hours, or precisely one KILOwatt/hour, I will have wasted about eight cents. I,m just trying to say " if one prefers to use standby, he should forget about the costs". After saying that, I need to mention that if you leave a Laptop running too long on standby it will discharge the battery. Also, a PC comming out of standby does not "correct itself" and errors will accumulate over time and should be rebooted at least once a weak. Hope this helps Emile --- In [email protected], "N.
